Statue of Emperor Barbarossa in Goslar in font of the "Kaiserpfalz"

In Goslar, Lower Saxony is one of Germany's most famous destinations, the world heritage Kaiserpfalz or "Kaiserhaus, which was an important residence of the Salian Emperors in medieval times. In front of the restored castle is a statue of the popular Emperor "Barbarossa", who became also a mythical figure and is supposed to wait for his "comeback" in a cave in the Kyffhäuser mountains. Goslar and the Kaiserpfalz is very interesting for anyone interested in romantic Germany.
