A rare flowering Plant, the Bushveld Aster prefers lower altitude arid bushveld areas. It is a very conspicuous bright blood red flower consisting onmanny seperate florets and the two outer rows are bi-sexual. In the hot dry season they are regualalry attended by pollinators such as this brown Butterfly.
