A Marine from Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, hugs his loved one after graduating from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Dec. 11. After graduation, all Marines are given 10 days of leave before taking the next step in training. Today, all males recruited from west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually.
