Bothof these sewers consist of 8 tile pipefrom the street sewer connection backto a point 12 outside of the area wallswhere 8 extra heavy cast iron soil pipeis substituted, and extension back intothe building is made with this material. These sewers are graded a minimumof Va per foot, the tile pipe being of thebest vitrified salt-glazed pipe and the flu to. Vo/re. Fig. 2a. Justinside the building walls 8 extra heavycast iron running traps having twohand-holes, with brass trap screws, fer-rules, and screw plugs are placed asshown in Fig. 1. Back of these traps areconnected 6 fresh air inlets which areextended to the height of the sidewalkand end with fresh air inlet valves. The main drainage system connects allfixtures above the sewer level with the street sewer direct and all other fixturesbelow this level are run into two air-and-water-tight 50-gallon sewage eject-ors from which the discharge is connect-ed into t
