The River Don Engine, UK's most powerful working steam engine, Kelham Island Museum, Sheffield, England, UK


Built by Davy Brothers of Sheffield in 1905 to power an armour plate rolling mill the engine continued working until 1978. It has a power of 12000 IHP, and is claimed to be the most powerful working steam engine in Europe. It is housed in the Kelham Island Museum at Sheffield, UK
