A life of intense interest,and possessed of its own peculiar unconventionalcharm, has sprung up in what, less than a gen-eration ago, was a neglected and obscure fishingvillage, now no longer, to the regret of its origin-ators, confined to the distinguished artists whofirst discovered the place, for the Skaw is fastbecoming a fashionable watering-place.
