Wasp Vespula vulgaris on cooked chicken piece yellow and black, four wings segments head thorax narrow waist petiole joins to abdomen large mandibles
this chicken piece was left on a garden table for the wasp and a green bottle fly came to share it as did another wasp at times there was two wasps and a fly on the piece of meat. The wasp has large mandibles that it uses to slice through the chicken taking a small piece away over and over again to a nest. The images were taken using a canon R7 and RF 100-500 lens about a metre away and the chicken piece had gone completely after a few hours.
