The Säntis with summit station in Winter, Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Switzerland
Located in the Alpstein region of northeastern Switzerland near the town of Appenzell, the Säntis is a landmark of the Appenzell Alps and a popular destination for tourists. At 2, metres above sea level, Säntis is the highest mountain in the Alpstein massif. The mountain is easily accessible by aerial tramway from Schwägalp.
