Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise arriving in Las Palmas late Thursday afternoon supporting local campaigners opposed to the Spanish governments decision to grant multinational company Repsol permission to prospect for oil close to the Canary Islands. Banners on the ship say: `prospecciones no, renovables si (prospecting no, renewables yes) and `Canarias dice no a las petroleas (Canary islands says no to oil).
