If the room requires more warmth of color, a rugof deep amaranth may be used. Certain Oriental rugs show the huesthat blend with this scheme and are very decorative. There is a wonderful play of color, opalescent in effect, in the grass-cloth chosen for the walls. The ceiling should be pale fawn and thewoodwork mahogany, dull-finished. The richness of color in thisscheme lends itself admirably to a room with paneled walls. Only afew oil portraits and landscapes or a piece of tapestry would be inharmony with this setting.
