Lead iodide precipitation. Macrophotography footage of a precipitation reaction producing lead iodide as a yellow solid. The reaction is between lead nitrate and potassium iodide to produce lead iodide and potassium nitrate: Pb(NO3)2 + 2KI -> PbI2 + 2KNO3. This is an example of a double displacement reaction.
