St Chad's Church Tower, Wybunbury, Near Nantwich, Cheshire, England, UK
Built in the 15th century, solitary Wybunbury tower is one of Cheshire’s curiosities. Originally part of a church, the medieval builders made a big mistake when choosing a site for it. Springs below the foundations led to subsidence, and despite rebuilding the church five times, it was eventually demolished, leaving this solitary sandstone tower which actually leans approximately two feet out of true.
