Ex-HMCS SACKVILLE, the last remaining Flower class corvette.

Of the hundreds built, HMCS SACKVILLE is the world's last remaining Flower Class corvette. Based on a whaling ship design, these small and cheap escort ships were built during the Second World War to escort convoys and their cargos through submarine infested waters to arrive in Europe. SACKVILLE has been restored to her WWII configuration, and is open to tours by the general public in the summer.
