Nickelodeon Land is a part of the Blackpool Pleasure Beach devoted to young children. Here we see an illuminated images, including 'Dora the Explorer', 'Boots the Monkey', 'Squidward Tentacles' and 'Eugen H. Krab', from Nickelodeon US Television. In the background rises the White Tower of the Pleasure Beach Casino, a Grade 2 reinforced concrete listed building, dating to 1937-40 and designed in the International Modern Style by Joseph Emberton for Leonard Thompson, owner of the Pleasure Beach. Despite its name the Casino, rather than gambling, houses a restaurant and other catering facilities.
