As an ineredient, the green Mustard imparts a delightfully'pungent flavor to the various forms of prepared salads. Fcr early crops the seed may be sown in a hot-bed in March, and for general crop at frequent interva's through the spring^ in drills from eight to twelve inches apart. White Liondon. The beet variety for salads ; the seed is also used medicinally, and as a seasoning for pickles. Per oz., 5 cts. *, J4 cts.; lb., 40 cts. 0 Black or Brown. An esteemed sort for culinary use. This plant is extensively cultivated for its green pods, which are used in soups and stews, and are very wholesome and nutritious. Sow about the middle of May. in drills three feet apart, and thin out the plants to one foot apart. Improved Dwarf Green. Very early : smooth pods. Per 5 cts.: 10 cts.; ^4 20 cts.; lb., 60 cts.
