Hind wing white to postmedial line, then blood- red ; a black bar across middle of cell with a yellow patch beyond it with the white discoidal lunule defined by black placed on it ; medial line black, excurved round end of cell, then bent inwards ; postmedial line fine, black, slightly angled outwards below vein 6, then straight; a faint whitish subterminal line slightly angled out- wards at vein 6 and with black spot before it above tornus; some blackish suff'usion at apex ; cilia white, blackish at base, wholly black at apex; the underside white, a blackish medial band, the terminal area dark brown narrowing to a point at tornus.
