Woodland along the banks of the River Tavy nr Buckland Monachorum Devon Great Britain
The River Tavy is one of several rivers that are tributaries of the River Tamar, which - flowing through deep, wooded valleys - form the border between Devon and Cornwall, in southwest England. Plymouth is the nearest city, sitting at the mouth of the Tamar, on the Devon side. The River Tavy is also on the Devon side of the Tamar, draining water away from the western slopes of Dartmoor National Park. In summer, its narrow waters are heavily shaded by the dense woodland that lines its banks.
