Mortality was calculated for Porites spp. (including P. ustreoiiles) and for juveniles pooled by taxon (11 genera), and was determined sepa- rately for corals £ 20 mm in diameter (small) and between 21 and 40 mm in diameter (big). Mean annual percentage mortality is displayed (±SE: n = 6 years), and differed significantly between small and big juveniles tor both Porites (1 = df = 10.
