Oyston Out protest in Blackpool, Lancashire, UK April, 2016. Fans demonstrate outside Bloomfield Road FC. Significant arrests were made in Blackpool as hundreds of football club supporters protested outside the stadium against the continued ownership of the club by the Oyston Family. A heavy police presence using mounted officers with the support of the OSD kept the post match demonstrations separate as chanting fans spilled into the resorts alms houses.
Owen John Oyston (born 3 January 1934) is a convicted rapist and English businessman who is the majority owner of Blackpool Football Club. Oyston has had a poor relationship with Blackpool's fans, mostly since the club's relegation from the Premier League, due to a perceived lack of funding for the club's stadium, playing staff and training ground.
