Circle of Life
The almost perfect Chaffinch's nest sits next to green ivy and an open rose representing the start of life. The dead Chaffinch and decaying apple at the bottom of the frame show the inevitable end of life's path. It made we wonder if the dead chaffinch I found was the one that had used the nest found in the old tree.
