It generally hunts in pairs, one eagle watchingfrom some height, while the other courses along theground, and drives the game from the bushes. Themale and the female remain together all the year, andvery probably for life. It lays two eggs of a yellowish-white color with pale brownish spots, on a nest composedof a great mass of sticks, rushes, and grass, and theyoung are fledged about the end of July. While theyoung are in the nest, it is very dangerous to approachthe spot, as the Eagles are then extremely fierce anddaring. Some instances have been related of child
