Residents have said that a thunderstorm hit the area at the time of the collision. Residents have said that a thunderstorm hit the area at the time of the collision. The roads is dubbed 'Death Valley' by some local residents after claiming nearly 12 people over the past three years. A join investigation is being carried out by Wiltshire and Hampshire who closed the major road just after 5pm today. Officers from Wiltshire Police Collision investigation unit have spent most of the evening carrying out investigation. The Road has been closed in both directions, The collision involved two vehicles a motorbike and a car. A land ambulance, Rapid response Paramedic and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance attempted to save the riders life and he was flown from the scene by an air ambulance but he sadly died at hospital Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone who was in the area is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 quoting Operation Inc Log ref ©UKNIP
