Webber (1824-40) entirely altered the characterof the building. By destroying the cellar vault andprobably raising the roof, he contrived to get in fourstoreys from end to end, and gained further additionalaccommodation by building up the narrow space betweenthe School and the Prebendarys House, a plain brickbuilding of the eighteenth century.
