Salvador Dali (1904 – 1989) Dalí was born in Figueras, Catalonia, on May 11, 1904. He was one of the leading figures in Surrealism and everyone has heard of the eccentric artist with his distinctive moustache or knows something about his works of art. In Marbella along the Avenida Del Mar you will find a complete collection of sculptures by Dali which were bought by the Marbella government to complete the work on the then dilapidated and abandoned Alameda Park and has now become a nice place to sit and relax and considered by many, to be one of the most beautiful areas of Marbella.
