The view taken in 1828, shows the property of the Duc d’Orleans with its façade towards Rue St Honoré. There is a Doric basement with Ionic pilasters on the first floor. The central projection has Doric and Ionic pillars and a pediment sculptured by Pigou with a shield of Orleans. The Gallery de Virginie is to the left. The iron railing in the building is a classic by Corbin. The image was drawn by T T Bury under the direction of A Pugin and engraved by W Faithorn
