Radley, Oxfordshire, England - 4 November 2020 This is the fine Anglican Parish church of St James the Great in my home village of Radley. Built in 1290, it is a beautiful building with the original - and rare - wooden pillars still standing. In the Civil War, a battle in and around the church led to the destruction of the north aisle and transept, giving it a rather lop-sided look which remains to this day. Here we see it on a fine Autumn morning, just after sunrise, with the near-full moon clearly visible in top lect of frame.
