Jizo statues are made in the image of Jizo Bosatsu, guardian deity of children and travellers, here wearing the customary knitted hats and bibs (kasa) to protect them from winter cold, at Jinguji Buddhist temple, adjacent to the Kamiichinomiya Oawa Shinto Shrine, Kamiyama, Japan.
