From the time that he was a boy working in the mill, and during all theyears that he was engaged in business, Mr. Webster had given his sparetime to study, particularly of the law, and had always cherished an ambitionto enter that profession. He was, therefore, at the time he entered theoffice of P. T. Carroll, Esquire, to prepare for entrance to the bar, well.
