This document is a tax account and payment receipt prepared by Robt. Hill for Edward Rouzee for the year 1807. The following items were listed as taxable: twenty-two (22) negros, twelve (12) horses and one (1) [illegible], seven hundred and forty-eight (748) acres of land, nineteen (19) levies at ninety-three (93) cents each. The remaining three lines of taxable items is illegible. It appears that forty (40) dollars cash was already paid on the taxes which left a balance of seventeen (17) dollars and forty-eight (48) cents to be paid.
