The firm is still carryingon a successful business in Salt LakeCity, with branch offices in Denvei,Colorado, and Butte, Montana. Bishop Elggren is known through-out the country as a successful busi-ness man and has been an active mem-ber of the Salt Lake Chamber ofCommerce for several years. In ec-clesiastical positions he has laboredwith fidelity and marked efficiency. FELT, Charles Brigham, member ofthe Deseret Sunday School UnionBoard, was born Jan. 13, 1860, in Salt. Lake City, Utah, the son of NathanielH. and Eliza Ann Preston. Baptizedby Albert M. Davis, and ordained con-secutively. Deacon, Teacher, Priest,Elder, Seventy and High a mission to Great Britain 1880to 1882, serving as clerk of the mis-sion and Emigration Clerk at missionheadquarters in Liverpool. Active in BIOGRAPHICAL ENCYCLOPEDIA 93 Y. M. M. I. A. as president of theAssociation for several years in the17th Ward. Served as a presidentof the Third Quorum of Seventy. Con-ducted the 17th Ward Choir. It was the Sunday School whichclaimed his lifes devotion. In 1892he was appointed superintendent ofthe 17fh Ward Sunday School and in-stituted the monthly officers andteachers meeting, class lesson outlinesand other innovations in Sunday Schoolwork.
