Our position on thatquestion is that the welfare and best interests of the state andof its people must be the main consideration; that what therespondent was or was not, and what he did or did not dobefore he became governor, is of minor importance. Thegreat question would then be, what has he done and what hashe failed to do, what has he tried to do and what has he triednot to do, as governor ? Did he as a private citizen before hebecame governor do anything for which he should be removedfrom office ?
