Coloration variable, body usually dark brown, with the abdominal apex and the appendages ferrugine- ous; (part of) the pronotum and the anterior part of the elytra often lighter. Head with dense, large, and umbilicate puncturation; in- terstices reduced to narrow ridges; without or with very shallow microsculpture; integument almost completely mat.
