NORTH ARABIAN SEA (March 24, 2013) An E-2C Hawkeye from the Bluetails of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 121 launches from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) on the ship’s first day of combat air sorties of 2013 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Dwight D. Eisenhower is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility promoting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
