Thepupils in attendance lost greatly on account of the absence of theirschoolmates. Nevertheless the ye<ars work was creditably finished. Parents Meetings. Parents and patrons visit the schools frequently, more than twothousand such visits having been made during the year. A course ofseven lectures, mostly on travel, for the benefit of parents and olderpupils, was well attended; an average of five hundred fifty personsfor every lecture. One evening the manual training shops were openand in operation; another evening the commercial rooms were open,.
