Ctdtiire.—Sow the seed in April, m drills fifteen inches apart, and when the plants are a few inches high, thin out to twelve inches in the row. Trans- plant the following fall to a deep, well-manured soil, three feet apart, and pro- tect with leaves or manure. Rhubarb is best propagated by dividing the roots, re- serving a bud for each piece, and planting in a shady place. Every fall the crown should be cov- ered with manure.
