Lusciani, of Pelicano, Rossi & Co., is hailed as an orator by his fellow em- ployees since he took a leading part in a recent school entertainment. Robert Newcomb, traveler for the American Bulb Co., of Chicago, says local growers have shown much interest in a red sport of Gorgeous carnation which he brought down from the Martin & Forbes Co., of Portland, Ore. W. F. Pitts, of the W. F. Pitts Seed & Nursery Co., expects to leave early in July on an extended trip visiting nurseries. S. H. G. TACOMA, WASH.
