Miss Demeanour heads to Canada

For many years Johnathon Whaleys’ brightly painted Hawker Hunter F Mk 58 Ex J-4104 Ex G-PSST, has been a star on the UK air show circuit but no more the aircraft was sold to Canadian Defence Contractor Lortie Aviation and is to become part of the company’s fleet of Grey on Grey Hawker Hunter combat support aircraft providing training in Canada France and the United States. Lortie Aviation has been utilising ex Swiss Air Force Hunters in the role due to the relatively low airframe hours. The aircraft was built at Blackpool in 1956 as a F Mk 4 and later converted to a Mk 58 at Dunsfold and delivered to the Swiss Air Force in 1973, she was flown in Swiss Air Force until 1994. The aircraft became G-PSST in 1997 and was flown as Miss Demeanour by Johnathan Whaley up until the UK grounding of the Hunter following the Shoreham Air Show crash in 2015. The aircrafts registration was cancelled and the aircraft was disassembled at RAF St. Athan for transportation to Canada in November 2017.
