Whether they are discussingthe relative merit of their respectiveclaims, a town residence or a countryseat, I am unable to decide; it is certain,however, that the concessions of neitherparty infringe upon domestic dignity. Their speech is a revelation of supremecontent, a liquid, flexible measure withripples and cascades bubbling throughand over, a dash of pure color amid Julysneutral tinted emotions. The day may be dark and threatening,the sun concealed in gloomy banks ofcloud, rain falling, or thick mists obscur-ing the valley;.
