22/07 Rowbottom speaks to 1000 protestors, tonight, ahead of their blockades of Wiseman and Muller milk processing plants in Market hearing the news that Dairy Crest were perhaps about to offer dairymen an extra six pence per litre, Farmers For Action leader, Paul Rowbottom, who is pushing for a national milk co-operative, called for all dairy farmers to demand a fixed rate from all milk processors, claiming that: "If we all accept different rates from the processors we'll all be in trouble again in the future". He was speaking to more than 1000 dairy farmers in Market Drayton, Shropshire before they blockaded the Wisemen processing plant and the company's nearby Muller branded dairy with tractors and farm Rights Reserved - F Stop Press.
