In a larger andmore finished print, Hogarth ^^ unfortunate analyst. is represented in the act of undermining the sacredmonument of all the best painters, sculptors, &c., inimitation of the Grecian Herostratus, who is seen inthe distance setting fire to the Temple of Diana, togratify his morbid desire of fame. A portly individualis lighting Hogarth at his envious work, perhaps in-tended to represent Dr. Morell, who assisted him inpassing his work through the press.
