Not only are they distinct as an annual, but, in point of size of flower, individual flowers measuring 2 inches across, variety and brilliancy of color and profusion of bloom, it altogether eclipses the perennial form. It has been named be- cause of the resemblance of the individual flowers to Gloxinias in their substance, form and variety of coloring.
