The market was established during the Second World War, in 1944, when it would sell objects and clothes stolen from passing American convoys and grew in the following years to become un' a time of crisis in the earthquake-eighties, when via Pugliano buildings suffered considerable structural damage. The market is reborn after 1996 thanks to an intensive program of restructuring. At the market in Pugliano you can find everything from furs to Chanel dresses, jeans seventies shoes by Dolce and Gabbana. The market is popular with young people across Naples and costume designers from Cinecittà, here come the costumes for such films as "The Hundred Steps", "The Best of Youth", "First give me a kiss", etc.
