Futuroscope buildings. Futuroscope is a science and technology theme park in Poitiers, France. On the left is the Kinemax building, which is shaped like a rock crystal. It has a large cinema screen that is as high as a 7-storey building and allows IMAX films to fill the entire field of vision. On the right, in the background, is the Futuroscope Pavillon (white dome) that is the symbol of the park. It contains both permanent and temporary exhibitions. Futuroscope has several buildings of unusual shape and design. It opened in 1987.
