The management is the most important of the relatively fixed labor items and is relatively fixed for a considerable range in volume of tobacco. The sales supervisor can conduct the sales for a fraction of an hour or for several hours, depending on the amount of selling time. The floor manager must be on hand to see that the tobacco moves to the weigher and to the sales row for a wide range in the quantity of tobacco that comes to the warehouse.
