Auriga constellation. Optical image of the constellation Auriga, the charioteer. North is at top. The brightest star in Auriga is Capella (Alpha Aurigae, white, upper right), the sixth brightest star in the sky. At centre left is the zodiacal constellation Gemini, the twins. Its two brightest stars are Castor (Alpha Geminorum, blue) and Pollux (Beta Geminorum, white), both at far left. In the bottom left corner is the bright star Procyon (Alpha Canis Minoris) in the constellation Canis Minor, the little dog. At lower centre is the red giant star Betelgeuse (Alpha Orionis) in Orion. Aldebaran (Alpha Tauri), another orange star, is in Taurus at lower right.
