ELBOW, DRAWING

Flexion of the elbow. The bone of the arm, the humerus, articulates at the level of the elbow with two bones of the fore-arm, the radius and the cubitus (or ulna). Distal extremity of the humerus encompassed a pulley-shaped surface, the trochlea (in blue), that articulates with the distal extremity of the cubitus, the olecranon (in blue). The olecranon constitutes the voluminous region of the elbow. During the flexion of the arm, the olecrenon pivote around the humeral trochlea. See. images 8515306 and 8515406 for movements of pronation and supination.
