Wentletrap snail laying eggs. Wentletrap snail (Epitonium billeeanum, centre right) laying its eggs on a coral (Tubastrea sp.). This snail eats the stinging tentacles of the coral using a long tube (yellow, centre), then lays its eggs (orange/ brown, centre right) in the empty cups. The eggs resemble the stinging tentacles of the coral and are protected from predators as they develop. Photographed in the Andaman Sea, Thailand.
