Dr. Senn says—( American Surgeryand Gynecology). Carcinoma is due to atypical proliferation of the epithelialcells from the matrix of embryonic cellsof congenital or post-natal origin. Thelaw of legitimate succession of cellsholds true in the origin and growth oftumors, both benign and malignant, aswell as in the production of normal andinflammatory tissue.
