Advocates for reform of New York's child sex abuse laws rally

Advocates for reform of New York's child sex abuse laws rally in front of the Film Forum theater during the showing of the documentary "Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God" in New York on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. The film investigates the crimes of a Milwaukee priest who abused deaf children. Current NYS law requires that a child sex abuse allegation be brought within five years of the victim's 18th birthday. The proposed law by NYS Assemblywoman Margaret M. Markey would extend the statute to ten years.(© Richard B. Levine)
