Chinese Huangmei opera artists from Anhei province perform in a village of Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, China on 14th Novermber 2011. Traveling folk opera troupes still travel from town to town in the countryside, but the younger generation in China has little interest in Chinese opera, which these days is performed mainly in a shortened form for old people and yawning tourists. Few young people are familiar with the symbols and stories that are essential to understanding operas and most young people don't like the strange falsetto singing style.
